Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by JetBack Flight Tracking, LLC (“JetBack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our services include the JetBack website, mobile applications, software, and flight monitoring infrastructure designed to identify airfare price drops, initiate refund or credit claims, and assist with airline booking changes (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using JetBack’s Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

1. License to Use the Services

1.1 Limited License Grant

JetBack grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services strictly for your personal, non-commercial purposes and solely in accordance with these Terms.

1.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • • Reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, resell, sublicense, or exploit any portion of the Services without prior written consent.
  • • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from any part of our software.
  • • Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
  • • Access or attempt to access another user’s account or JetBack’s internal systems without authorization.
  • • Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) to interact with the Services beyond what is explicitly permitted.

Violations may result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action.

2. Authorization to Act on Your Behalf

2.1 Scope of Services Requiring Authorization

By using JetBack, you expressly grant us permission to act on your behalf with third-party airlines for the limited purposes of:

  • • Monitoring flight prices associated with your submitted bookings;
  • • Accessing your travel reservation data as provided by you (e.g., confirmation numbers);
  • • Requesting, submitting, or initiating modifications to your booking, including reticketing under lower fare classes or filing refund or eCredit claims, as allowed by the airline’s policies.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • • JetBack may make changes to your reservation on your behalf, including reticketings or fare modifications, when doing so is required to secure an airline refund or credit;
  • • JetBack does not guarantee preservation of your original seat assignment, fare class benefits (e.g., checked baggage, preferred boarding, elite status), or special requests made during original booking;
  • • JetBack shall not be liable for any inconvenience, loss of amenities, or other travel consequences resulting from such changes so long as they were made in good faith.

2.1.1 Email Inbox Access and Syncing

Inbox syncing is designed to save you time by automatically finding your travel bookings, so you don't have to forward each confirmation email manually. JetBack only uses inbox access to look for travel-related emails and help you save money on flights. We will never sell your email data, use it for advertising, or share the contents of your emails with third parties for marketing purposes.

If you choose to connect your email account (e.g., Gmail) to JetBack through an authorized third-party authentication mechanism (e.g., OAuth), you grant JetBack permission to:

  • • Scan your email inbox on an ongoing basis to find airline booking confirmations, itinerary changes, cancellations, fare receipts, loyalty program communications, and other travel-related correspondence;
  • • Extract and process booking data (such as passenger names, confirmation numbers, flight segments, travel dates, fare amounts, and seat assignments) from travel-related emails in your inbox;
  • • Store copies of travel-related emails and extracted booking data so we can monitor your trips and find savings opportunities, as described in Section 5;
  • • Periodically re-scan your inbox to detect new or updated travel-related emails, so new trips are picked up automatically;
  • • Use email metadata (such as sender, subject line, and timestamps) to efficiently identify which emails are travel-related without needing to deeply process every message.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • • To find travel-related emails, JetBack may need to look across your inbox, including older emails and different folders or labels. We do this solely to identify bookings, not to read or store unrelated messages;
  • • In the course of identifying travel emails, JetBack's automated systems may briefly process emails that are not travel-related. We do not store, use, or share non-travel email content. These emails are filtered out and disregarded;
  • • JetBack relies on the content of emails in your inbox to deliver its Services, and is not liable for actions taken based on emails that contain inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • • Inbox syncing runs continuously while your email account is connected, and you are always in control; you may revoke access at any time through your email provider's account settings or by contacting JetBack directly;
  • • If you choose to disconnect, some Services like automatic trip detection and fare monitoring will no longer be available, but your existing data and any savings already captured will not be affected;
  • • JetBack cannot control interruptions caused by your email provider, changes to authentication protocols, or other third-party actions that may temporarily disrupt inbox syncing.

2.1.2 OTP Proxying and Verification Code Relay

To act on your behalf with airlines, loyalty programs, and related travel providers, JetBack may need to receive one-time passcodes, verification codes, magic links, multi-factor authentication challenges, and similar security messages (collectively, “Verification Messages”) sent by those providers. To make this seamless, JetBack offers optional proxying mechanisms, including JetBack-issued proxy phone numbers, JetBack-issued proxy email addresses, and email forwarding rules you configure on your own account (collectively, “Proxy Channels”). You are always in full control of whether to enable any Proxy Channel, and you may disable, revoke, or reconfigure them at any time.

If you choose to enable one or more Proxy Channels, you grant JetBack permission to:

  • • Receive, store, parse, and use Verification Messages routed through any Proxy Channel for the sole purpose of authenticating into airline, loyalty, payment, or related travel-provider accounts on your behalf, and otherwise performing the Services;
  • • Provide a JetBack-controlled phone number, email address, or alias that you may supply to airlines, travel providers, or your own forwarding rules to direct Verification Messages to JetBack;
  • • Automatically extract verification codes, links, or tokens from Verification Messages and submit them to the appropriate airline or travel-provider system on your behalf;
  • • Retain Verification Messages and associated metadata (such as sender, timestamp, and routing information) for a commercially reasonable period for security, audit, troubleshooting, and fraud-prevention purposes;
  • • Apply automated filtering, classification, and rate-limiting to Proxy Channels to identify legitimate Verification Messages and discard unrelated content.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • • Proxy Channels are entirely optional. You decide whether to provide a JetBack proxy phone number or email to a given airline or provider, whether to set up email forwarding rules, and when to turn any of it off. You may revoke a Proxy Channel at any time through your JetBack account settings, your email or phone provider, or by contacting JetBack;
  • • By enabling a Proxy Channel and/or supplying a JetBack proxy contact to a third party, you expressly authorize JetBack to receive Verification Messages directed to that channel and to use the codes, links, or tokens contained in them to access accounts and complete actions on your behalf, as part of the limited power of attorney granted in Section 2.2;
  • • You are solely responsible for which providers you point at a Proxy Channel, for any forwarding rules you create on your own email account, and for ensuring you have the right to route those messages to JetBack. JetBack is not responsible for messages sent to a Proxy Channel that you did not intend to route to us;
  • • Proxy Channels are intended exclusively for Verification Messages and travel-related communications. Any unrelated messages that happen to arrive at a Proxy Channel are not used to provide Services, and are retained only as needed for abuse prevention and legal compliance.
  • • Proxy Channels depend on carriers, email providers, and airline systems that JetBack does not control. JetBack does not guarantee that every Verification Message will arrive in time, and is not liable when third-party delivery issues, provider changes, or airline anti-automation systems prevent a code from being received or used.
  • • JetBack treats verification codes as sensitive data. As with any phone number or email address, no channel is entirely immune to issues that originate outside JetBack's systems, and JetBack is not responsible for unauthorized access that results from a compromise of your own accounts, devices, carriers, or email providers.
  • • Some airlines, loyalty programs, or other providers may have their own rules about phone numbers, shared emails, or automated logins. You're responsible for making sure your use of Proxy Channels fits within those providers' terms, and JetBack isn't liable for actions a third party takes in response to a Proxy Channel being used on your behalf.
  • • JetBack may update, rotate, or retire Proxy Channels over time as we improve the Service. When a change affects a Proxy Channel you actively use, we'll do our best to notify you in advance.

2.1.3 Sign in with Google and Gmail Access

JetBack uses Google's OAuth authorization flow for two separate, independently opt-in features, and you can use one without the other:

  • Sign in with Google (basic profile only). You may choose to create or log in to your JetBack account using “Sign in with Google.” When you do, JetBack receives only basic Google profile information (name, email, profile picture, and Google account ID) for the purpose of creating and authenticating your JetBack account. Sign in with Google does not give JetBack any access to your Gmail inbox, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service. If you sign in with Google but never enable Gmail inbox access, JetBack will never read your email.
  • Gmail inbox access (separate, explicit opt-in). Separately, you may choose to connect your Gmail inbox so JetBack can automatically find and monitor your travel bookings. This is a distinct authorization flow, and you will see a separate Google consent screen before granting it. JetBack requests the restricted https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly scope. This is a read-only permission; JetBack does not send, modify, or delete messages in your Gmail inbox. You can enable, decline, or revoke Gmail inbox access at any time, independently of whether you use Sign in with Google.

JetBack's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

  • User-facing features only. JetBack uses Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features in the JetBack application (such as trip detection, fare monitoring, refund processing, and related Services).
  • No advertising. JetBack does not use Google user data, including Gmail content, for advertising of any kind, including personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
  • No sale or unauthorized transfer. JetBack does not sell Google user data, and does not transfer user data to third parties except as permitted by the Google API Services User Data Policy (to provide user-facing features with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets where the receiving party will honor equivalent protections).

You may revoke either permission independently at any time. Disconnecting Gmail inbox access from within the JetBack app (or removing it at myaccount.google.com/permissions) stops JetBack from reading your Gmail while leaving your JetBack account and Sign in with Google intact. Removing JetBack entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions revokes both Sign in with Google and any Gmail access at once. In either case, travel data already extracted is retained so your trips and savings aren't lost, unless you also request deletion via support@getjetback.com.

Your use of “Sign in with Google” and Gmail-connected features is additionally subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. JetBack is not responsible for Google's services, policies, or actions, including any decision by Google to suspend, throttle, or revoke API access.

2.2 Scope of Agency and Power of Attorney

By using the Services, you hereby appoint JetBack Flight Tracking, LLC as your agent and grant us full authority to act on your behalf in connection with airline bookings you submit to the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, accessing reservation systems, communicating with airlines, requesting refunds or credits, initiating reticketings, accepting terms and conditions imposed by third-party travel providers, and taking any other commercially reasonable actions necessary to perform the Services.

You acknowledge that this authorization constitutes a limited power of attorney, and you expressly waive any requirement that further written or notarized consent be provided. You agree that actions taken by JetBack under this authority are binding as if taken by you directly, and you release JetBack from any liability resulting from such actions taken in good faith pursuant to this mandate.

This authorization remains in effect until revoked in writing and confirmed by JetBack. Revocation will not affect any actions already taken in reliance on this grant of authority.

3. Service Features, Modifications, and Fees

JetBack reserves the right to:

  • • Modify, enhance, suspend, or remove functionality of the Services at any time without prior notice;
  • • Restrict access to certain features based on subscription level or payment;
  • • Offer free and paid versions of the Services with clearly disclosed pricing;
  • • Discontinue the Services temporarily or permanently for maintenance, updates, or business reasons.

You will only be charged for paid features or subscriptions if you have affirmatively opted in and consented to those charges.

4. Account Suspension or Termination

JetBack may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for reasons that include but are not limited to:

  • • Violation of these Terms or any applicable law;
  • • Abuse of the system (e.g., excessive API calls, fraudulent usage);
  • • Use of the Services in a manner that disrupts the experience for others.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. JetBack is not responsible for any resulting loss of data, refund access, or travel opportunities.

5. Data Collection, Storage, and Post-Deletion Retention

5.1 Personal Data Use

To provide the Services, JetBack collects, processes, and stores personal information such as your name, email address, airline confirmation numbers, flight itineraries, and metadata related to your use of the application. When you connect your email account for inbox syncing, JetBack additionally collects and processes email content, metadata, and extracted data as described in Section 2.1.1. Our handling of this information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

5.2 Accuracy of User-Submitted Data

JetBack relies on the information you submit (whether via forwarded flight confirmation emails, connected email inbox syncing, or other input methods) to deliver its Services. You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data you provide or make available through connected accounts. JetBack is not responsible for errors, missed refund opportunities, or incorrect booking actions that result from malformed, outdated, misleading, or incomplete input, including data obtained through inbox syncing that may be inaccurate, corrupted, or misattributed by your email provider.

5.3 Retention After Account Deletion

If you choose to delete your account, JetBack may retain limited portions of your data for a reasonable period, even after deletion, in order to:

  • • Complete ongoing refund or credit claims;
  • • Comply with legal obligations or regulatory audits;
  • • Prevent fraud or abuse;
  • • Enforce these Terms;
  • • Maintain business records, analytics, and system logs.

We take reasonable security precautions to protect your retained data and will not use it for marketing purposes after account deletion unless you opt in.

6. Internet Connectivity and User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for maintaining a functioning internet connection and any mobile data or carrier fees incurred through your use of the Services. JetBack disclaims responsibility for failures, interruptions, or degradation in the quality of the Services caused by your device, carrier network, or environmental conditions.

7. Disclaimer of Liability and No Guarantee of Results

7.1 Fare Drop Detection Disclaimer

JetBack employs automated systems and internal logic to detect and respond to airfare changes. However, due to the complex and dynamic nature of airline pricing and fare rules, we do not guarantee:

  • • That all eligible fare drops will be detected;
  • • That all refund or credit opportunities will be processed;
  • • That refunds or credits will always be accepted or issued by the airline.

7.2 Booking Error Disclaimer

JetBack is not liable for any inaccuracies in flight information, failure to detect a price drop, or consequences arising from acting on incorrect or incomplete reservation data. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • • Failure to capture a time-sensitive fare change;
  • • Misreading of user-submitted confirmation emails;
  • • Airline limitations or policy changes affecting eligibility.

7.3 Reticketing and Fare Class Limitations

In the event that JetBack initiates a reticketing to capture a lower fare or refund opportunity, you understand and accept that this may result in:

  • • Loss of original seat assignments;
  • • Change in fare class or ticket conditions (e.g., baggage entitlements, change/cancellation flexibility);
  • • Removal of complimentary upgrades or elite status benefits.

While these outcomes are exceptionally rare, they can occur due to airline error despite JetBack taking rigorous precautions when filing claims on your behalf. JetBack is not responsible for any negative outcome from such reticketing activity.

7.4 Airline Refund Policy Changes

JetBack's ability to recover refunds depends on airline policies that are outside of our control. In the event that an airline discontinues, restricts, or refuses refund programs — whether generally or for specific fare classes — your membership will not be cancelled and no refund of membership fees will be issued on that basis. JetBack makes no implicit or explicit guarantees that refunds or credits will be available, obtainable, or honored by any airline at any time.

7.5 Credit Ownership and Airline Issuance

JetBack facilitates refund or eCredit claims on your behalf, but has no control over how the airline chooses to issue or allocate those credits. Refunds or credits may be:

  • • Returned to the original form of payment;
  • • Issued as travel vouchers to the person or entity listed as the booking owner;
  • • Subject to airline-specific expiration, redemption, or access restrictions.

JetBack is not liable if you are unable to access or redeem the refund or credit, nor are we responsible for pursuing credit reallocation once it is issued.

7.6 Email Inbox Syncing Disclaimer

We work hard to make inbox syncing reliable, accurate, and secure. That said, inbox syncing depends on factors outside our control (like your email provider's systems, spam filters, and authentication protocols), so we want to be upfront about the limitations.

JetBack is not liable for:

  • • Missed travel emails, fare drops, or refund opportunities caused by your email provider's filtering, spam classification, delayed delivery, or system outages;
  • • Interruptions to inbox syncing caused by changes to third-party APIs, authentication protocols, or actions taken by your email provider (including Google/Gmail) to restrict access;
  • • Errors in extracting booking data from emails that are unusually formatted, incomplete, or in a language not currently supported;
  • • Security incidents involving your email account that originate from your email provider or from compromised credentials outside of JetBack's systems.

While JetBack's automated systems are designed to identify and process only travel-related emails, they may briefly encounter non-travel correspondence during the scanning process. We do not store, read, or use non-travel emails; they are automatically filtered out. However, JetBack cannot guarantee that every non-travel email will be perfectly excluded from processing.

JetBack's total liability related to inbox syncing shall not exceed the fees you have paid to JetBack in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

7.7 System Breach or Data Exposure

JetBack uses commercially reasonable security practices to protect your data. However, you understand that no system is impenetrable. JetBack is not liable for damages, direct or indirect, resulting from unauthorized access, data breaches, or third-party exploits.

8. Third-Party Service Dependencies

The Services depend on the proper functioning of third-party services such as airline systems, email providers, hosting platforms, and analytics tools. JetBack disclaims all liability for downtime, inaccuracies, or errors caused by these third parties.

9. Software Updates and Compatibility

We may issue periodic updates to the JetBack application to improve performance, security, and user experience. By using the Services, you consent to receive such updates. It is your responsibility to ensure that your device and software are compatible with JetBack.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JetBack and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • • Your use or misuse of the Services;
  • • Your violation of these Terms;
  • • Your infringement of any intellectual property or privacy rights of another party;
  • • Your decision to connect your email account for inbox syncing, including any claims by third parties whose information appeared in emails within your inbox;
  • • Any breach of your email provider's terms of service resulting from your use of JetBack's inbox syncing feature.

11. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class-action lawsuit.

12. Changes to These Terms

JetBack reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, at its sole discretion. When changes are made, the updated version will be posted at https://getjetback.com/terms.

It is your responsibility to review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions before using the Services. Your use of the Services after any change has been published will be governed by the then-current Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms and Conditions, you must discontinue use of the Services.
